Communication & Advocacy Committee
The Board recognizes the necessity of engaging leaders within the county and beyond to support initiatives important in the community. Workforce development is a fundamental element of local economic vitality that is of concern for the county's private and public leaders. The Board intends to cultivate strong working relationships with a number of strategic allies, i. e., individuals and organizations committed to successfully preparing and delivering people for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
What do we want to accomplish?
Engage DuPage County elected officials, business and community members in on-going communication regarding the workforce system.
What will success look like?
- The Board regularly issues qualitative and quantative data creating workforce intelligence and communicates it to the community.
- A "Future Workforce Trends" event is held annually to communicate workforce challenges and changes presented by the global economy.
- Public officials and other key policy makers are continually informed about workforce issues in the economy.
