Welcome!

Jim Pandolfi, Chairman

The DuPage Workforce Board is a business-led policy and decision-making body. Workforce Boards were created under a 1998 federal law called the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) with a mandate to create a workforce development system that meets the needs of employers for qualified workers and by expanding employment opportunities for residents.

The DuPage Workforce Board has become a key player in the economic growth and competitiveness of our local area and the region. In this larger role, the Workforce Board functions as a convener, an innovator, and a facilitator of strategic partnerships between the private sector, non-profit agencies, educational institutions, local elected officials, local government agencies, labor, and job training and education programs.

Vision

A high quality workforce contributing to economic development.

Mission

Develop a shared vision among DuPage leaders in business, education and the community to ensure the development of a highly skilled workforce that promotes economic development and enhances the quality of living for all residents.

Strategic Plan 2008-2009

The State of Working DuPage Report

The State of Working DuPage Report issued by the DuPage Workforce Board  looks at the DuPage economy and its workforce and reviews the challenges that businesses will face over the next ten years.

The conclusions in this report highlight the degree of effort that will be needed to maintain the County's high quality of life and prosperity as DuPage County with partners from the greater Chicago metropolitan region face global economic competition and change.

If you would like printed copies of the report please contact Cindy James at 630-955-2085 or email cjames@dupageworkforceboard.com
